Crossings Community Group is a member run organisation crossing borders through music
Our members are migrants, refugees and asylum seekers with an interest in music from the Newcastle and Gateshead area. Our friendly, welcoming groups help build friendships while learning, aid community integration and provide support for people adapting to a new culture
We welcome new members from any community to any of our activities. We are particularly interested in welcoming people who are passionate about music and have the desire and skills to help Crossings Community Group through becoming a volunteer Trustee.

Our journey
Crossings began as an organisation in 2009, but due to lack of funds was unable to continue. However, the Crossings Band did continue as an independent Community Interest Company. The Band remains incredibly supportive of the work of Crossings Community Group, which was able to re-form last year to continue to support community integration through music.
